Child Care Resources’ Board of Directors
Andrew Larson, President
First Security Bank
Andy joined the CCR Board of Directors in February 2009. He felt the need to become involved in the Missoula community and, as a young father of two, Andy is very interested in quality child care. He is currently serving on the Finance and the Nominating Committee. Andy is a Commercial Loan Officer at First Security Bank.
Kim McKearnan, Vice President
Community Medical Center
Kim joined the board in 2010 bringing with her a life-long commitment to promoting child development and health. A mom of 4 children and director of pediatrics at Community Medical Center, Kim is dedicated both professionally & personally to fostering a supportive community in which kids can thrive. Kim grew up in Montana, but spent 20 years in the Pacific Northwest living, working, & earning her graduate degrees before returning home to big sky country. Being relatively new to the Missoula community, Kim viewed the opportunity to become part of CCR’s board as a natural extension of her interest in & dedication to enhancing the lives of children in Montana. It also affords her another avenue to participate in & give back to the community she has quickly grown to love. Kim is currently serving as Vice President and chairs the Nominating Committee.
Larry Williams, Secretary/Treasurer
Community Bank
Larry joined the board in 2007 as a non-Board member on the Finance and Audit Committee and is now currently serving as Secretary and on the Finance and Audit Committee. He is the Vice President of Commercial Lending for the Community Bank and has an extensive educational and professional background to benefit CCR’s mission. Larry is very involved with bettering his community. With working and volunteering, Larry makes time for his three girls and wife.
Carloyn Daly
Holiday Inn Downtown at the Park
Carolyn Daly is the Sales Manager at the Holiday Inn Downtown, a position she has held since October 2010. She has extensive background both in work and training in sales, marketing and management. Carolyn is the mother of a young daughter. She chairs the CCR Marketing and Program Committee.
Lara Dorman
Portico Real Estate Aency
Lara Dorman joined CCR’s Board in 2011, and is a realtor with Portico Real Estate Agency. She was formerly a member of the Montana Army National Guard as the Director of the National Heritage Outreach Program and Equal Opportunity Advisory. She has experience as a software tester at Logistical Systems and as a systems advisor for Senator Baucus. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Missoula Symphony Orchestra and the Danmore Stables Therapeutic Riding Center. Lara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Montana with a minor in Vocal Performance. She has also studied psychology with an emphasis in child development and has taken some graduate coursework in Social Work. Lara is also a mother of two young children.
Courtney Ellis
Dorsey & Whitney, LLP
Courtney joined the CCR Board in 2011 and is currently serving on the Executive and Personnel Committee and the Program and Marketing Committee. She works as an Associate Attorney for Dorsey and Whitney and will be able to apply her professional abilities to our board. Courtney has an extensive background in human services and will benefit our board greatly.
Jeff Hasskamp
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana
Jeff joined the CCR Board in 2011 and is currently serving on the Governance and Nominating Committee. He is an Account Executive for BCBS of Montana and an alumnus of the Leadership of Missoula 28 Program. He was born and raised in Montana and has one daughter.
Kevin Head (Emeritus Member)
Owner, The Rhino
Kevin Head is the owner of The Rhino Bar and Rhino Catering. Kevin is a philanthropist and is the major sponsor for CCR’s annual fundraiser.
Kevin served as a voting member on the Board from 2004 to 2009, during which time he helped with the Board’s development work. In 2010, Kevin became an Emeritus member of the Board, and continues to be a member of CCR’s Development Committee.
T.J. Johnson
U.S. Bank, NA
T.J. joined the CCR Board in 2011 and is currently serving on the Finance and Audit Committee and the Program and Marketing Committee. He is a Commercial Banking Relationship Manage for US Bank and an alumnus of the Leadership of Missoula 28 Program. He was born in Montana and graduated from the University of Montana. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Heidi Moretti
St. Patrick Hospital
Heidi Moretti joined CCR’s Board in 2009. Heidi is a Registered Dietician at Saint Patrick’s Hospital. She has a particular interest in children’s nutrition and its impacts on lifelong health. Heidi is the parent of two young children. Heidi is currently on the Development and Advocacy Committee and has served on the Program and Marketing Committee.
Marcy Otten
The University of Montana Co-Teach/IERS
Marcy Otten joined CCR’s Board in 2008, as she saw this as an excellent opportunity to help support other early childhood professionals in her community. Marcy serves as the Coordinator of Research and Service at the Institute for Educational Research and Service (IERS) where she works to ensure that grant goals and objectives are met on a variety of DERS projects. In addition, Marcy coordinates licensing and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) activities for the Co–Teach Preschool Program at the University of Montana.
Applying her passion for the early childhood field, Marcy organizes and provides professional development to early childhood and early elementary school professionals across the state in the areas of school safety, playground safety, bullying prevention, and positive behavior supports. Marcy also serves as a Montana Behavioral Initiative (MBI) Early Childhood Consultant in a partnership with IERS and the Office of Public Instruction. In her role as an Early Childhood Consultant she helps strengthen the capacity of child care, preschool, and Head Start programs to improve the social and emotional outcomes of young children across the state of Montana. Marcy holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education and a B.A. in Elementary Education with a Special Education Endorsement. She currently serves on the Board Nominating Committee.
Gordy Pace
The University of Montana Information Technology
Gordy joined the CCR Board in 1997. He is the Director of Information Technology Communications at The University of Montana. In his 21 years at UM, he has managed IT groups involved in web applications and digital media development. He spent 10 years in UM’s admissions office doing marketing, publications and web design.
Gordy helped CCR design its quarterly newsletter during the early ‘90s, so he was familiar with the agency’s work. When he became a parent in 1994, he discovered how critical quality child care is for working families. CCR helped him find a great facility for his son. A few years later, he joined the Board.
Gordy is currently chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee and chair of the Program and Marketing Committee and has served as President and Vice President, chaired both the Personnel and Nominating Committees, and served on the Development Committee. Gordy helps the agency with marketing efforts and consultation on technology issues.
Amy Scott Smith
Worden Than, PC
Amy joined the CCR Board in 2011 and is currently serving on the Governance and Nominating Committee. She is an Attorney for Worden Thane and has professional background in real estate matters, estate planning, and family law. Amy was born and raised in Montana and has one daughter.
Marty York
Allegiance Benefit Plan Management
Marty York retired in 2004, after 31 wonderful years of teaching Advanced Placement American History and World History at Hellgate High School. However, Marty’s interest in children and young adults still remained and she wanted to find an active way to continue to serve the community. Therefore, in 2004 Marty accepted a seat on CCR’s Board of Directors, fulfilling both her personal and the community’s need. Marty currently works as an Account Manager for Allegiance Benefit Plan Management. Marty has served two terms as President of the Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Personnel and Executive Committees.
