Balancing Beanbag Activity
Every week, Child Care Resources will publish The Bored Jar blog, which will provide you with ideas of activities to do with the children in your care. We know that much of the correspondence we send has to do with rules and regulations, but The Bored Jar will only be filled with fun activities. Whenever you’re bored with your kids, try some of our Bored Jar ideas!
Balancing Beanbag
Kids can walk in a circle while holding a bean bag with palms facing up. Have everyone recite:
There was a man in our town
Who went for a walk one day
But the wind blew so hard (make blowing sound)
He turned around and walked the other way (turn and change direction)
For more challenging balancing activities, have kids try to walk with beanbags on their heads, shoulders, elbows, etc.
