Every week, Child Care Resources will publish The Bored Jar blog, which will provide you with ideas of activities to do with the children in your care. We know that much of the correspondence we send has to do with rules and regulations, but The Bored Jar will only be filled with fun activities. Whenever you’re bored with your kids, try some of our Bored Jar ideas!
Birthday Crown
Birthdays are always an exciting time for children. Having them create something they can wear on their special day can be easy and fun.
First, cut a piece of heavy watercolor paper into strips. Next, have the child write his or her name on the crown with a white crayon. Paint the crown with watercolor paints. Let the crown dry. Once dry, fit the crown to the child’s head. Staples or glue can be used to make the size of the crown permanent. And, at last, the crown can be worn by the birthday boy or girl!
