This course will help participants understand how literacy develops, the principles of literacy learning, the components of literacy, and help participants plan thoughtful and meaningful experiences to create or enhance a language and literacy-rich environment. We will cover the specifics of talking, singing, playing with language, reading aloud, storytelling and re-telling, writing and exploring written language, looking at and “reading” books and more.
