Professional Development Opportunities

In Montana, every child caregiver must attend at least eight hours of professional development per year. The Montana Early Care and Education Career Development System approves all of Child Care Resources’ classroom workshops and online training.

Classroom Workshops

CrayonsCCR is going green! All our Professional Development classes are posted and promoted online and in our monthly Child Care Resources e-newsletter. Please visit our Events Calendar or our Classroom Training page to see our currently sceduled classes.

Online Training is a project of Child Care Resources, offering many courses in a variety of Knowledge Base areas. Online courses are approved in Montana, so you can fulfill your state required training in the comfort of your own home! We also offer a guaranteed grading time for STARS and licensing courses. Grading time is seven business days. View the online course catalog and register for a course.

CPR and First Aid

All caregivers in Montana are required to maintain current CPR and First Aid course completion or certification cards. CPR and First Aid courses are available at:

Health Visits

A public health nurse is available to offer onsite training and support in Missoula County. Part of this visit will include helping you determine if your immunization records are complete and up-to-date, in order to comply with Montana regulations.

Technical Assistance

Child Care Resources offers individualized technical assistance to early childhood professionals. We can help you understand and solve problems that arise in your facility. We have Professional Development Specialists on our team to help you, including former child care providers and a public health nurse.
