In order to be accepted and meet Child Care Licensing Requirements:

  • CPR must be completed in a hands on setting and include Adult, Child, and Infant modules.

  • First Aid must be Pediatric First Aid

  • CPR/First Aid cards submitted must list ALL information (including Adult CPR) in order to be accepted.

CPR & First Aid Resources

Only licensed facilities are eligible for Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship payments, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, STARS to Quality, and facility grants.

 

Part-time programs do not have to be licensed in Montana. Preschools and school-age programs operating a few hours a day or only part of the year are exempt from licensing. Drop-in care also falls in this category.
